| As a partner of the
firm, Joseph A. Ciccitto is experienced in all aspects of criminal and
civil litigation. He handles estate administration and estate planning
for wills and trusts, Orphan's Court practice, criminal cases, personal
injury cases and other civil litigation cases for the firm.
Mr. Ciccitto serves as a public defender, handling trial representation of indigent defendants. As former assistant public defender for Montgomery County, he handled major office litigation. He has also been counsel for clients before the U.S. District Court, the Eastern District of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Pennsylvania Superior Court and Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. Mr. Ciccitto was admitted to the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Bars in 1978, the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in 1981 and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, in 1988. His educational background includes a J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1978 and a B.A. in Psychology from LaSalle University. He is a member of the Montgomery County and the Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He holds membership in several organizations, including counsel to the Upper Providence Township Municipal Authority, Chairman of the Board of View for Montgomery County, counsel to the Perkiomen Valley Academy, former Chairman of the St. Eleanor School Capital Campaign, member of the the Montgomery County Bar Association Bench Bar Committee, and the Knights of Columbus, and past President of the Collegeville-Trappe United Fund Board of Directors. Mr. Ciccitto and his wife have three children and live in Upper Providence Township. |
